The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that “women who consumed the most vitamin C and linoleic acid had the youngest-looking skin among 40- to 74-year-olds.” Study co-author Andrew Mayes, Ph.D said that vitamin C helps your body produce collagen which keeps your skin firm. Self Magazine reports that research published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology showed eating walnuts after a high-fat meal might protect your heart. The heart-healthy omega-3 fats and antioxidants in walnuts work to reverse the arterial damage caused by saturated fats.
