YogaEarth Balance Review, Giveaway

by laurel on September 1, 2010

For the past two weeks I’ve been taking YogaEarth’s Balance Pre-Practice nutritional supplements. They are powdered drink packets developed by a group of 250 yoga teachers and are designed to “remov[e] obstacles…such as digestive issues, muscle fatigue and cramping, and mental clarity and focus.” I’ve been taking the packets about an hour and a half before my dance or pilates classes in the evenings.

When mixed with water, the Balance packet turns the liquid a bright reddish-pink. The taste is mildly sweet and tastes a little like beet juice (if you’ve ever tried it). I enjoyed the Balance packets the most when I added a splash of apple juice or mixed it into a smoothie with other fruits. Honestly, I didn’t really like the flavor of the packets with just plain water.

On a good note, I have definitely noticed that my stomach and digestive system are more at ease since I began taking the supplements. Seriously, I’ve had zero digestive discomfort during exercise. As for other physical benefits, I can’t be sure after taking it for 2 weeks, but I am very impressed with the all natural, high quality ingredients they put in the packets. Balance contains probiotics, amino acids, digestive enzymes, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and more. Balance does not contain glutens, dairy, animal/seafood products, corn, wheat, additives, HFCS, or artificial sweeteners. Full list of ingredients here.

If you are interested in YogaEarth’s products, here’s a link to a special product offer with a bunch of free bonus gifts: YogaEarth Special Offer.

Great giveaway! I’ve heard such good things about YogaEarth and I love their free weekly TerraFlow videos.

I have been on a smoothie kick lately. Fresh peach and raspberry (gotta love summertime fruits!) with these frozen wheatgrass and acai berry packets I found is my fav for a boost. Sometimes. I’ll add a nut butter or electrolyte packet. Also, a good liquid B-12 supplement helps.

I would love to win this!

My new find: Traditional Kombucha Wonder Drink. This one is still on the shelves at Whole Foods (and I found it on sale earlier this week for $1 per can)!

I take a tablespoon of Vitamin D and B12 for some extra energy as a supplement.

Foodwise I eat a sandwich on whole wheat/nutty bread made with cucumbers, roasted red bell pepper, lean turkey and avocado!

I’m not currently taking any supplements, but I used to take iron as I thought I was anemic at the time (thought in retrospect, I probably wasn’t)!

I don’t take any supplements, but I find after I eat a meal consisting of natural whole foods, I have more energy to workout in the early evening. My favorite lunch meal that I have been bringing to work is my homemade turkey chili. I make a big batch on Sunday to last me the whole week. It has a bunch of veggies chopped up (pablano peppers, fresh spinach, onions, carrots, celery, corn), tomatoes, two types of beans, organic turkey and seasonings. It keeps me full throughout the day, and gives me enough of a boost to be able to workout around 6pm. Plus it’s low carbs, since I am a diabetic.

I take an all natural women’s supplement, flax seed oil, and fish oil every morning after breakfast. I notice that as soon as I stopped eating “bad” carbs in the morning (bagels, doughnuts, sugary cereal), it kept my digestive system on track. I can always tell when I’ve lowered the amount of fruits and vegetables in my daily routine because my stomach will always let me know.

I don’t take anything necessarily for digestion BUT I take 4 echinacea pills a day and 1 Vitamin C chewable tablet a day; they definitely make a difference.

I wake up with a smile, take a little dose of sunshine-the au-natural Vitamin D, a large spoonful of laughter, and a packet of extra vitamin C to make sure my immune is on the up & up. Some days, when I know I need it, I trade out a meal for a veggie shake or a plateful of kale spiced up with some garlic & hot sauce – that’ll get you going everytime! mmm mmm mmm!

I’ve been experimenting with homemade energy bars made with sunflower seeds, carob, honey, goji berries, and pretty much anything else in my cabinet that seems like it would be good smooshed into a sticky little bar. So far, so good, and they taste delish.

I take a few things since I have low blood pressure and enjoy being lazy sometimes. Green and black teas, Pro-Sport multivitamins and vitamin B-12.

I take Green Vibrance by Vibrant Health everyday. It gives me energy, regulates my digestion and keeps me from getting sick. I also have started eating a spoonful of “Ambrosia” Honey Complex which includes bee pollen, royal jelly, and propolis. It gives an instant boost and has pumped up my immune system.

I’m seriously amazed with the writing skills in addition to with the layout on your web site. Is it a paid design or do you personalize it all by yourself? Either way continue great quality writing, it’s actually rare to determine a good web site just like this these days..
