I’ve been busy planning a quick getaway vacation in June, and since I’m looking for somewhere by the water, I’ve got my mind on the beach and tropical drinks. I whipped up a tropical-inspired smoothie for breakfast this morning, and it was a refreshing way to start the day. I love using organic frozen fruits because they save time and money. Plus, it can’t get any easier than tossing some frozen fruit in the blender and hitting start!
Tropical Summer Smoothie
(Serves 2)
1 cup fresh pineapple
½ cup frozen mangoes
½ cup frozen peaches
1 banana
1 cup coconut water
Splash of 100% orange juice
Add all the ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth. Tip 1: You can replace the frozen fruits with fresh fruits (or vice versa) if you have them. Just remember to add a few ice cubes. Tip 2: If you need something fun to bring to a summer BBQ, this smoothie would taste great spiked with a little vodka or rum!
