Making a milkshake with raw almonds, frozen banana, frozen strawberries, 1 tablespoon of flax seed and your choice of milk is delicious and healthy for breakfast or a snack. My toddler drinks it up!

A suggestion - make sure you are eating raw, natural almonds. No oil, no over-heating or roasting which kills the goodness of the nut. Also, if you soak your almonds overnight first they will be easier to digest. This is called sprouting. Nuts contain enzyme inhibitors so if you do not soak them first you will not be able to utilize the enzymes in the nut. They are also much harder for you to digest. www.gesundheit.ca

I've gone through a few handfuls of almonds today, I love almonds. But today I probably should have opted for walnuts instead to get my Omega-3. I wasn't able to get a decent dinner tonight - no steak or fish - just some garlic pasta :(
