Healthy coffee is the best coffee. While I take mine black, occasionally I do like to spice things up a bit. Sometimes, I put a pinch of cinnamon, dash of cloves and smidgen of ginger into the grinds. Then I'll add about a half teaspoon of demerara sugar and a bit of stevia. Stevia alone won't cut it, and if I'm putting sugar in my coffee, I'll use way too much. So the combo definitely helps me.

I like your style :)

My wife and I typically make a simple syrup out of water, organic pure cane sure, and vanilla extract. It tastes very good in coffee, both hot and iced. A fresh batch also stays good in the fridge for a week! Shoot me an email if you are interested and I'll verify the proportions we use.

Hi Laurel,
I do enjoy a cup of joe most mornings, and have tried over and over to find an alternative. Some times tea, cocoa, green smoothie...but it doesn't seem to last, I always drag back out my coffee pot. Kinda like a comfort thing...I keep telling myself. :)

I like creating coffee blend smoothies. My latest and favorite is:
coconut milk creamer or soy creamer
banana (frozen)
scoop of cocoa powder
scoop of instant coffee
Ice (optional)

It's a nice pick-me-up while the kids are laying down to rest.
