Organic Meats are Less Toxic, More Nutritious

by laurel on April 7, 2008

NaturalNews.com reports that a recent UK government study found that non-organic chickens have a 23.4% chance of salmonella contamination while organic chickens have only a 4.4% chance. Mother Earth News also found that organic chickens lay eggs with 1/3 less cholesterol, 1/4 less saturated fat, 2/3 more vitamin A, twice as many omega-3 fats, three times more vitamin E, and seven times more beta carotene.

Mindfully.org looked at over 30 separate studies and concluded that on average, organic food has more nutrients than non-organic food. Mindfully found that organic foods were significantly superior in vitamin C content, had much lower levels of carcinogenic nitrates, and contained better protein quality.

In some instances, I will ask certain patients to blend a raw egg yolk into a daily smoothie.

My advise. DO NOT DO THIS with regular store bought eggs. USE ORGANIC eggs only!

Sincerely,

Doc Posh
