Natural Skin Firmers
The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that “women who consumed the most vitamin C and linoleic acid had the youngest-looking skin among 40- to 74-year-olds.” Study co-author Andrew Mayes, Ph.D said that vitamin C helps your body produce collagen which keeps your skin firm. The essential fatty acid, linoleic acid, prevents inflammation and dryness.
Women’s Health Magazine recommends oranges and broccoli for vitamin C and walnuts, Brazil nuts, sunflower oil, and safflower oil for linoleic acid. (Ref: Women’s Health, April 2008, p. 24)
