Eat Beans to Avoid Colon Cancer

Self Magazine reports that researchers from the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland found eating about two cups of beans a weak may lower your risk of colon cancer by 65% over a four-year period.  The polyphenols and fiber in beans may prevent harmful colon polyps from forming.  Self recommends tossing black, navy, lima, and pinto beans in your soups and salads.
