Kellogg Making Cereals More Nutritious

MSNBC reports that Kellogg Co. announced they would boost the nutritional value of cereals marketed to children or stop marketing them as a whole.  Check out the new requirements for a single serving of Kellogg’s cereals:

  • 200 calories or less
  • No trans fat
  • 2 g saturated fat or less
  • 230 mg sodium or less
  • 12 g sugar or less

Kellogg’s change of plans comes after threats of lawsuit over child obesity and concerns over marketing unhealthy foods to children.
