Avocados Have Great Source of Folic Acid, Fight Heart Disease and Alzheimer’s

EatingFabulous.com reports that avocados are a good source of folate or folic acid. Even though there is not a direct relation between folic acid and heart disease, research shows that a lack of folate is related to higher levels of homocysteine, which can cause heart disease, stroke, and Alzheimer’s disease. Avocados are great to eat on their own, however, avocado.org has some tasty recipes.

Just learned from a friend that the lowered her blood pressure by eating 2 avocados a week, and higher fiber foods, from mid Jan 2010 til now, 35 points, which is huge!!!
